Because I was trying to recast the musicals with toku heroes …

SO BASICALLY this is the Wildhorn version of Jekyll and Hyde that no one likes except me. Here, lonely prostitute Joe Gibken is torn between kindly pirate Captain Jekellous who bandages his wounds after a night on the streets, and the sinister yet sexy Basco Hyde. What will happen? DRAMA DRAMA

(Hoff is not my favourite Jekyll but I couldn’t find a better clip on YouTube … and I really like the song “Someone Like You.” A friend of mine is a professional singer and has a version of it on her demo reel)

I hate Hasselhoff’s Jekyll, but I love this fucking musical otherwise. The best best version is the ‘Concept Album’ version (I prefer Bring On the Men over Good ‘n’ Evil). 

Oh and my favorite songs are His Work and Nothing More (Sid can be Utterson) and Dangerous Game. Hurr hurr, especially Dangerous Game. 

The only version I’ve ever seen live is the recent UK tour with Marti Pellow as Jekyll/Hyde :( I think I love pretty much all the music from this show, particularly This Is the Moment

I seriously cannot wait to find out of Enter is anything like I want him to be. Then I might just have to write Basco/Enter. Like that one story arc of Queer as Folk where the hot young gun comes to town and he and Brian get in a competition to see which of them can fuck the entirety of an impartial list of 10 hot guys first.
